significantly to $5.3 billion in 2022, an increase of 5.8% from 2021.

Domestic chicken meat production expanded significantly and reached $3.3 billion in 2022, the most significant growth rate recorded in 2013 when production volume increased 60% from 2012. Production reached a peak of $3.4 billion in 2020.

The market is expected to continue the upward consumption trend over the next eight-year period with the expansion of an expected CAGR + 2.2% for the period from 2022 to 2030, which is expected to reach 1.8 million tons by the end of 2030 or approximately $7.5 billion (in nominal prices).

In 2022, Brazil (396 thousand tons) accounted for the largest supplier of chicken meat to the Kingdom, accounting for 64% of total imports. Imports of chicken meat from Brazil also quadrupled the figures of Ukraine’s second largest supplier, 99 thousand tons. France was third (58 thousand tons) with a share of 9 .4%.
